About Me

Hello!I'm a recent graduate from the University of Washington. With the encouragement and support of a high school chemistry teacher, I went into college knowing I would major in biochemistry. However, I've always enjoyed writing, and felt like just pursuing science would never be enough. I fell in love with the way English is taught at the college level, and decided to pick up an English major too. From educational science articles to internal communications, here, I showcase my work as both a medical humanist, science communicator, and most importantly, a writer. My professional experiences consist of external-facing communications such as news articles and research posters, internal-facing documents such as grant proposals and supplementary documents, as well as procedural documentation and multimodal composition. I'm passionate about the public education of scientific topics, as well as empowering the voices of underrepresented populations in research through my writing. Currently, I am interning as a science communications intern at Stockholm Environment Institute, an environmental science research organization with the goal of bridging science and policy.Outside of my work and my writing, I like to draw, bake, and go on little adventures around town. Thanks for visiting! Please do not use my work without explicit permission.
